Dessert or Breakfast? Pick one or both. This delight from the Kraft Family Food line up is one of our family’s favorites and perfect for a cold winter day like today. Serve warm. Yum. (Harrison likes it for breakfast)
1 package Yellow Cake Mix
2 small packages instant lemon pudding
1/3 cup sugar
2 cups cold milk
1 1/4 cup water
Powdered sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare mix according to package directions and pour into a well-greased 13×9 inch pan. Combine pudding, sugar, milk and water. Mix well and pour over cake batter. Place cake pan on a large baking sheet, in case the pudding spills over during baking. Bake for 55-60 minutes. Cool on a rack for 20 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve. Refrigerate extra cake, and reheat for the next servings.
Note: I’ve also made this with lemon cake mix and vanilla pudding and chocolate cake mix and chocolate pudding. Any combination of flavors will work.
